The Precify Browser Extension (“the Extension”) allows users to compare Amazon product prices across multiple European marketplaces. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. All data processing happens locally in your browser or is sent solely to our backend API for price comparison purposes.
The Extension accesses the following information when you visit an Amazon product page:

The ASIN and product title are sent to our backend API to retrieve price data from other marketplaces. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers.
Used to access the current Amazon product page when you click the Extension icon, in order to extract the product's ASIN and title for price comparison. No data is accessed without explicit user action.
Used to inject a content script into Amazon product pages that detects the product ASIN, extracts the product title, and displays price comparison results as an overlay on the page. This is essential for the Extension's core functionality.
Used to save your country preferences (which Amazon marketplaces you want to compare prices from) and display mode settings via chrome.storage.sync. This allows settings to persist across browser sessions and sync across devices. No personal data or browsing history is stored.
Required because the Extension's core functionality is to detect products on Amazon pages and compare their prices across European Amazon marketplaces (amazon.es, amazon.de, amazon.fr, amazon.it, amazon.co.uk, amazon.com). The content script needs to run on these domains to extract product information and display price comparison results.

The Extension uses chrome.storage.sync to store only the following non-personal settings:
These settings are stored locally in your browser and synced via your Google account if Chrome sync is enabled. You can clear this data at any time by removing the Extension or by going to Chrome Settings → Sync → Manage what you sync.
The Extension does not use, load, or execute any remote code. All code is bundled within the Extension package. The Extension only makes API requests to our backend server to fetch price comparison data, but no code is loaded or executed from remote sources.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. The only data transmitted outside your browser is the product ASIN and title, which is sent to our backend API to retrieve price comparison data. This data is not shared with any third parties.
When you click on a product link from the comparison results, you will be redirected to the corresponding Amazon marketplace, which has its own privacy policy.
All communication between the Extension and our backend API is encrypted using HTTPS. We implement appropriate security measures to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
